Legacy PTAC replacements — such as the Applied Comfort product line — are dimensioned to fit older, non-standard wall openings left by discontinued equipment from brands like McQuay, AAF, Islandaire, Singer, and others. Using a standard-size unit in a non-standard sleeve requires structural modification that legacy replacement units are specifically engineered to avoid.
